Our idea - development of costumes

The costume for the our main character will be a baggy top that is ripped and distressed. Our first idea of what the main character would wear was pale coloured tights over her head to make it look like she is bald with an over sized jumper or top, we thought we could make it look dirty and put fake blood on it to make her look scary and unusual.


The other characters will wear pajamas to make it seem like they have been taken from their bed and dragged into another location, this is why they will have messy hair and dirty clothes.


After school on Thursday, Me and Sophie went into town and were looking for a top for the main girl character to wear during filming. We visited H&M, River Island and New Look. In H&M we looked around for a top that looks over worn and not as if it had just been bought from a modern high street shop, it needed to be quite boring and plain and over sized to emphasise the scruffy nature of the character. We found one or two tops that suited our specification but we didn't like them so decided to move on. In New Look we found the top below that perfectly met our specification, we found it in the men's area as we thought that this would be the best place for a more flat and plain shape. The colour is khaki green, simple and very dull. We decided to buy an XL size to create a more over sized and unflattering look.
